Winter Escape

A short tropical holiday was just what we needed to stave off the winter blues.
It's been a couple of months since our little break in Fiji but the holiday is still fresh in our minds. Lauren still asks now and again when we are going back. Crystal blue waters, lush vegetation-the Coral Coast was postcard perfect. We managed to see a traditional Fijian village and do some sight-seeing but the best parts were just spending hours in the pool/beach with the kids, leisurely enjoying meals and having someone else clean our rooms!

Birthday Bubs

Our little angels had their birthdays within a couple of weeks of each other. Aidan turned ONE on 12th Feb and Lauren's now officially a little girl at THREE since 2nd March.
To celebrate, we invited all our nearest and dearest for a big backyard barbecue. It was a circus, kids running around everywhere but we all had lots of fun.

Sydney tourists

We were ucky to get a visit from Bill and Trish (Tim's parents). They were in Sydney for a month and it was lovely for the us to have spent time with them . The kids enjoyed our outings to Bobbin Head for some fishing, to the beaches, some lovely sights (Sydney/Watsons Bay/The Gap) and Taronga Zoo.

Smiths Lake Holiday

For a week, we holidayed on Amaroo Beach in Smiths Lake.
Smiths Lake is a salt-water lake surrounded by various village settlements in the NSW mid-north coast.

It was a perfect destination for us-a family beach, playground and boatshed/coffee house were all at our doorstep. The days were spent just playing in the sand and swimming, going for short walks, eating and sleeping. A day's outing to Bluey's beach gave us a bonus. We got to watch a pod of dolphins enjoying the surf.

And I'm off to the water!
